San Diego - play and a not so children's pool

We took it nice and easy on Thursday. We stuck around the neighborhood in the morning and played at the park, ran to the store, and enjoyed more breakfast treats at Azucar.

After auggies nap we went to la jolla and visited our friend Margie, and made our way to nearby beaches. It was trial and error as tourists. We quickly found out the cove of la jolla, while popular, is not the best for frolicking in sand with a toddler. We then went to an area called the children's pool which is calm and easy but also a very popular place to be very close to the harbor seals. Needless to say the harbor seals the scent was a bit much for us.

We landed at la jolla shores beach - a big popular stretch of sand. Auggie was thrilled to play with his bucket and eat a little while he was at it.

So much fun to run along the beach with the little guy. We knew he'd like the sand but had no idea how much he would love it. He kept saying "owesun" over and over. When we held him and the waves would come in, giggles ensued. Pure happiness.
