Margie, my old neighbor from when I was in grade school and subsequently my home when returning to Chicago in 2003, has lived in Mennifee outside of San Diego since 2006.
We were excited to spend some time relaxing at her beautiful house and enjoying her famous fried rice, grilled Tri-tips marinated in some yummy goodness and fresh asparagus.
The drive out on the avocado highway was beautiful! We had such a lovely evening. Auggie was charming as ever. We taught him "boom shaka-laka" and it was so cute hearing his tiny voice say "booom-Shaka" the laka part was a bit much. I didn't take a ton of photos since we were all just enjoying each other.
