Horsey Ride

I just want to remember the pure joyful giggles in my left ear as my boys arms clung around my neck and in my "cwazy hair". He rested on my back as I gave him horsey rides around the basement. And when it was time to get back up on the horsey he'd say "come on man" or "mister" as he echoed me.


Having a toddler can be maddening. Long work days, and what seems like an eternity to get the monster's dinner ready while he opens the pantry and pints to cookies. But the fun and effervescence are contagious. Getting down on the ground and playing is my favorite thing to do.

Did I mention that my husband taught the boy to say "I love MOMMY!" With arms extended wide. Melting!!!!
